The only exceptions to this are doctors, dentists, lawyers, accountants, chiropractors, and other professions that are provincially regulated and licenses however all services that voluntarily pay the Business Registry fee will be included in the online and printed lists featuring Business Registry participants.

Canmore Business Registry

Through the Canmore Economic Development Authority, funds from the Business Registry are available for the sole purpose of economic development. A strong, sustainable economy is important to Canmore, since strong businesses employ residents, generate profits that are reinvested into the community, and strong businesses support local community through event sponsorship, volunteer time, expertise and many other ways. Further, an increase in the number of businesses in Canmore that pay commercial property taxes to the Town reduces the tax burden on residential taxes.

Business Registry fees and Development Permit fees are tax deductible business costs.
