Location Filming in Canmore
The Town of Canmore recognizes
the importance of the film and television production industry to our
community's economic strength and international image. Our
remarkable mountain setting and long history of warm hospitality is
something that our citizens take great pride in.
In response to growing
interest, the Town of Canmore introduced a Location Filming Policy
in the spring of 2003. The regulations set forth in this policy are
intended to accommodate the unique requirements of the film
production industry while respecting the rights and wishes of
Canmore's citizens. *Click

Applicability
The regulations set forth in the Location Filming Policy apply to
all location filming and commercial photography projects that
utilize municipally owned or leased property including roads,
sidewalks, parks, municipal reserves and Town operated facilities.
Television news and current affairs projects are exempt from these
regulations.
